Texas Wildfire Mapping

The Texas Forest Service is continuing to battle the flames. The wildfires have destroyed nearly 1,400 homes in central Texas thus far.

You can view the progress of the fires by viewing an interactive map at the Texas Interagency Coordination Center. Also Esri Wildfires Map shows fire related information in and around the central Texas region. And the Google Crisis Response: Texas Wildfires Map uses data from the Texas Forest Service to plot the location of active fires in the state. The map allows you to view recent MODIS satellite imagery of the affected area and to view the locations of Red Cross national shelters.
