Government Health Agencies Moving to Cloud

Many government agencies are moving to the cloud to power health related resources. Government organizations including the Department of Health and Human Services, Military Health System of the Department of Defense,  Centers for Disease Control, and SNAP are at various stages for deploying or planning cloud computing initiatives.

It is likely more government agencies will move to the cloud as the federal government issued a “cloud first” policy late in 2010 as a part of the Office of Management and Budget’s 25-point plan to reform federal information technology management.
