Grant to College of Staten Island allows more GIS

Consolidated Edison has provided a $30,000 grant to the College of Staten Island. In addition to allowing underserved high school students working/studying alongside CSI students, the grant will include GIS experience. “Subsequently, field exercises will allow students to take their own series of measurements and observations. After completion of field and ship-based activities, students will go to the CSI Geographic Information System (GIS) laboratory where they will record their findings and results.”
