Smart phones help researchers track infectious diseases

To understand how infections spread, technology specialists at Edinburgh Napier University are working with Imperial College London on the use of geo-information available from location tracking devices, such as smart phones, to record the nature and frequency of interactions between individuals. The goal is to look at interactions within a health care environment to track and to predict the spread of infectious diseases.
