This June, teachers will participate in a two-day workshop called “Geospatial Technology for 4th-12th Grade Educators” at North Platte Community College in Nebraska. Participants will learn how to use Geographic Information Systems and Global Positioning System technology in developing lessons for their respective subjects and grade levels. To further understand the concepts learned, participants will collect data in the field and use GPS together with GIS to map and analyze what they have collected.
