Normally this control is loaded via the web browser and allows interaction with a keyboard, mouse, and Xbox 360 controller. In this article, we will take the Virtual Earth control out of the web browser, use it in a WinForms application, and control it with a Nintendo Wii Remote (Wiimote).

OSHPD selects Farallon Geographics to Build GIS Rich Internet Application

The California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) has selected a company to develop a Rich Internet Application (RIA) for the next generation of its “California Health Care Atlas”. The new web-based atlas will integrate interactive mapping, reporting, and charting elements with a dynamic real-time interface to tell the healthcare story in California, allowing a broad spectrum of users the ability to investigate and learn about the human health and healthcare landscape in California. The goal of the atlas is to help OSHPD staff enhance their understanding of health care issues by presenting sophisticated analyses of California healthcare trends in a an easy-to-explore and easy-to-understand manner.

Google and Microsoft look to Change Health Care
Google and Microsoft are working up their plans to improve the nation’s health care. The Bush administration has pushed the health care industry to speed up the switch to electronic formats. This format help the health care industry to save more money on paper and protect the environment as well.Today, about 20 percent of patient throughout the U.S have computerized records. However, these records still tend to be controlled by the health care administration including doctors and hospitals. With the old system, whenever a patient move to another state, his/her record usually stay at the previous hospital or clinic.
